ROFL :)
I get them, and calls about offering me loans among other shit, the best are double glazing and other home improvements type calls, keep them talking for ages at their expense saying how interested you are, then when you want to finish the call, just ask them if there is any problems with the fact that you rent, usually ends with a "click", then dial tone :D

lmao
the good ol' im sorry i dont speak english works for me
only if im in a bad mood though, i sometimes give them a little ray of sunshine by entertaining their ideas. allthough this can be even more cruel, as not only do they not get a sale, they get there hopes up and waste there time.

another classic is to tell them your house is a council property that gets rid of them.
but the best one i had was from a call centre in india asking if i wanted to save money on my phone bill ,i said theres no point as my calls only amount to £4 a quarter he couldnt understand how i couldnt possibly want to save on £4 he kept going on saying things like you dont want to save on 400 pennies ,after 5 mins he twigged that £4 to us isnt that much .but made me laugh

lol kaz, I just say hello hello. Then cut em off and chuck the phone on the sofa. :moon:.
A good answer to those annoying cold callers is to let them get through the opening part of their script lulling them into the false assertion that you may be interested then say:
"Ahh there's the door can you hold on a moment?"
Then leave your phone off the hook and go watch telly for an hour or so before returning to replace the handset.
The beauty of this is that some call centres have policy to never cut off a call. So while you put your feet up you're costing them money and labour. Wonderful :)
And if you're very, very lucky it will be one of the call centres where the employees don't have the facility to cut you off at all :)
oooo i like it :D
gonna try that next time mortice
