03/06/03 Server config change.

added sv_maxupdaterate 60
added sv_maxrate 9999


This change has been implemented to try and help bullet registration (which it appears to have done).

If you find yourself suffering lots of choke on the server (which you will if your settings are too high) and you are on a cable or DSL connection, a safe setting to try is

cl_cmdrate "35"
cl_updaterate "25"

rate and cl_rate dont really need adjusting as long as they are over "9999".
If this cures your choke then you may want to try edging the cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate up slighty, keeping in mind your upload is far less than your download making the cl_updaterate the bottleneck.

just for info I have upped my cmdrate to 60 and update to 40 I get 1 choke at start of round and when someone joins but apart from that sound as a pound..the other settigns Ivan were causing almost a stuttering in play specially with regards to firing it was as though the gun was jamming adn then kicking in..anyway seems to have sorted it also I get occasional ms never more that 7-8 ..hope this helps anyone still having probs :D
