Hah, oh dear god.
Its old, but its certainly worth a giggle.
Its hard to beleive anyone can be as stupid as the folk in that...and i have some relatives that are grade A technophobes
I not checked proper 2 see if its in there
but when i worked doing call outs as a techy for a very small company, i once got called out to check out a modem fault.
got there, first things first, check the wire "you dont need to worry about that, we got it pluged in" * i say ok, but check anyways* looking i see 2 wires going into the modem. slightly confused at how this old couple had set up either a phone or fax tru the modem, i follow the wire down, to find it goes round a table leg, and straight back into the computer, NO WHERE NEAR THE PHONE SOCKET!
dear lordy! *me slaps face*
Its a bit off topic, but working at Currys i had the BEST customer in the world EVER.
This couple come in, with their son, and ask me if we sell keyboards. I say yes, and show them round to the keyboard shelves. They spend a little while looking and then say "WE just need one for the internet really so it doesnt need to be anything special. Now, all of these will work, yes?" to which i reply that yes, they will. Some of them might be USB and some will be PS2 so be sure to check the box that you get the right one. The PS2 ones will ALL work but if its a very very old PC, they might not have USB on it.
"PC?" they ask... oh oh.
Yea, PC. You gotta plug these into your pc.
"Oh, we just want one to get on the internet. Do they not just plug into your tele?"
I had a really good customer once, he came back to the shop time and time again, and ended up buying a radion 9600 xt, now he had remembered that i loved hl2, and he only liked rpgs, so he gave me his hl2 voucher!!! LOVEL!

I got a call once from a really stupid user... one of the people who's been "working with computers for years, sonny-jim" and shouldn't be told that he's wrong, even though he was calling for our help.
Anyway, he starts off by saying he was worried about the cooling solution given to him by us, so he opened up the case and put ice (unfortunately, I'm serious) on the graphics card to cool it. Afterwards, of course, the computer went pop and wouldn't start up, hence he called us.
Despite me telling him otherwise his years of experience with computers meant I knew nothing at all, so I decided to just hang up after making a point, which was that water + electricity = not good!
